Jacobs – the new name for Eurosafe’s UK member

Jacobs, the global technology-forward solutions company, acquired Wood Nuclear in March 2020. With $13 billion in revenue and a talent force of more than 55,000, Jacobs provides a full spectrum of professional services including consulting, technical, scientific and project delivery for the government and private sector.

As a result, Jacobs became the parent company of the Regulatory Support Directorate (RSD), which remains an independent, stand-alone, ring-fenced, autonomous organisation, separated from operations and business activities within the broader Jacobs organisation.

While RSD benefits from reach back into Jacobs’ widened pool of technical specialists, its existing personnel and the longstanding technical safety support they provide to UK nuclear regulators – the Office for Nuclear Regulation and the Defence Nuclear Safety Regulator – continue to operate to the highest standards.

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

In the Nuclear sector, Jacobs delivers industry-leading research, engineering, project management, asset management, and consultancy services. Our customers include Électricité de France, UK Ministry of Defence, National Nuclear Laboratory, Sellafield Ltd, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Rolls-Royce, United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, Electric Power Research Institute, the US Department of Energy and Department of Defense, ITER Organisation and the European Union.
