At the end of 2020, the Slovak company VUJE, a. s. concluded a contract for the supply of the hydraulic shock absorber monitoring system in connection with the construction of the Finnish Hanhikivi-1 nuclear power plant.

The project for the supply of the hydraulic shock absorber monitoring system brings new challenges and opportunities for VUJE, a. s. in an international environment. The delivery consists of the software and hardware platform development and supporting engineering activities. The hardware and software platform are a set of functional modules designed to perform certain tasks as a part of technical and software complexes that implement one or more functions of an automated process control system.

The hydraulic shock absorber monitoring system is a subsystem within the power unit, which performs an information function and is designed to control the dynamic and thermal movements of equipment and pipelines located inside the hermetic zone of the power unit, analysis of the deviation of displacement values from the reference ones, control the load on equipment and pipelines based on mathematical models of interconnections, as well as for monitoring the fluid level in the reserve fluid tanks of hydraulic shock absorbers.

The hydraulic shock absorber monitoring system is equipped with linear displacement transducers - sensitive elements of inductive type, which allow assessing the displacement value of the controlled equipment.
